The Exhibit is a collection of over 500 pieces of movie used props and costumes as featured in the first three Chronicles of Narnia films: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe; Prince Caspian, and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Many of the items now on display in our ministry were once part of a traveling Narnia exhibit called The Narnia Exhibition that toured the world for five years in large museums with most stops selling out at $15 a ticket and extending their stay due to popularity.
When the Exhibition closed, everything went into storage for about five years. In 2011, there was a little known auction that took place in Australia and featured many set dressing and basic costuming and props primarily from the second and third films. In a series of remarkable (and we believe God-orchestrated) events, we were able to acquire many items from this auction and ship them overseas by boat to us.
Then in 2014 as part of an auction held by Profiles in History, many of the key hero and iconic pieces from the former traveling Exhibition came up for sale. Our ministry was one of three main buyers in this auction and much of the main items we feature in our own Exhibit today came from this auction. We are still today finding and acquiring new items for our Exhibit. The biggest question we get about our Exhibit is "Is it real? Are these items and costumes the ones that actors like Georgie Henley who played Lucy Pevensie really use and wear?" And our answer is yes they are!
What is featured in your exhibit? When you book the Exhibit, it can be customized to be displayed many different ways. Each set up we do is unique to the desires and space accommodations of our client. Specific items can be requested and different kinds of arrangements can be done. We encourage you to click on the sidebar link, "What We Do" to learn more. Some of our most popular items are Aslan (of course!), the Wardrobe, Peter's Sword, Susan's Bow and Arrows and Horn, Lucy's Cordial and Dagger, Father Christmas' Robe, Reepicheep and Trufflehunter, the Pevensie and Caspian Costumes, the White Witch weapons and Ice Crown, and the flooding Painting from Eustace's bedroom. We also usually feature artwork by Pauline Baynes and movie concept artists, C.S. Lewis books and writings, Weta figure models, and a few beautiful recreations. To see a more extensive listing of what is in our Exhibit, we encourage you to watch these videos!
